FULL TIME BAKER

Duties include: feeding sourdough culture, mixing yeast and sourdough breads according to standardized formulas and methods, using Baker's math to calculate recipes from standard percentages, making some sweet bread and  pastries, shaping pan loaves shaping and scoring, maintaining a clean and orderly working environment.

The desired candidate is experienced in:

• Scoring bread

• Shaping pan loaves, batards, baguettes, pretzels and braids

• Precision: scaling ingredients using a scale

• Reading formulas and following directions

• Completing production in timely manner

• Cleanliness and organization

• Working with a sense of urgency

• Have a positive attitude and be detail oriented

• Have a sense of urgency and be able to manage time efficiently

• Work well both independently and within a team environment

• Be able to take initiative and direction

• Be able to stand for up to 8 hours daily and lift 50 pounds

• Be punctual and reliable

• Creative and artistic ability is a plus

All candidates must have weekend and holiday availability. Interested bakers must also be available late-nights/early mornings and have reliable transportation
