Welcome to Goodwin Creek Farm. We are working hard here at the farm to bring you the highest quality fruit, produce and baked goods in the area.  Our bakery operates 24/7.  We produce everything that we sell right here on the farm.  We start with the most simple, highest quality ingredients and produce some of the best products available. Everything good and nothing more.

We started working on Goodwin Creek farm in April of 2005.  There was a lot of work to do cleaning up old fence lines and grooming the property. 

In 2007 we started planting dozens of trees and cultivating many different vegetables.  Pears, apples, blueberries, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers and other goodies have started production.  Farm fresh eggs have been in abundance for the last few months as our free range chickens have been happy to produce one egg each, every day.

After a herd of deer became fond of our crops in the summer of 2007 we started baking muffins for the Nellysford Farmers Market to make up for the loss.  In 2008 we installed commercial ovens and mixers in our VDA certified kitchen and we're producing fantastic bread every day.

 

About  us

At Goodwin Creek Farm we use only better than organic methods to raise our animals and plants.  No excuses here, if we have trouble with pests beyond what our gentle methods will handle we recycle and compost the crop and try something different.  Think of the leaf chews and spots on some of our produce as assurance that this is some the best the earth has to offer.

What's  happening

Oh what a lovely spring! the birds are busy, and our plant starts are begging for us to till our home garden plot. In the midst of all this growth and rebirth most of us are still tuck in our homes and wondering how this pandemic will evolve. I don't think any of us imagined this is what 2020 would look like three months ago! 2020 will be a year to remember...

As we all adjust to the current, changing circumstances and ponder on our blessings in the safe of our homes; we had put our thinking caps on and after hearing your suggestions we opened our online store, for pickup here at the farm on Tuesdays, and at RVCC on Thursdays. If things go well we might look for partners for other pickup locations as well. Delivery is still something we are considering.
