July is Hot. So is our Bread!
Welcome to Goodwin Creek Farm & Bakery.

July is here!  We just started picking our first tomatoes.  These are real honest-to-goodness out in the sun tomatoes.  We pick them ripe red.  This year we have loads of Heirloom Brandywine tomatoes  ask your retailer for chemical and spray-free Goodwin Creek Farm tomatoes.

A word on eggs.  Our girls are starting to ramp up production of beautiful brown eggs.  We are taking more every day from the nesting boxes.  These Chickens are really having a great time.  We feed them all-natural and certified organic feed.  They are free to roam where they wish all day.  They run and play and sunbathe.  Then every night they all come back into the barn for a good stress free nights sleep. (there are a couple that take their chances camping out under the stars in a tree. 

I tried to get a picture of this... Today a hen was riding the dog (Spring) around the back yard.   Spring looked like she was laughing.

We start from scratch Baking Bread fresh every morning.  We use King Arthur Brand flour and the finest ingredients we can find.  We are growing fruits and vegetables with hard work and care using organic methods, then delivering it all fresh to local markets and restaurants. 

You can find our products at Fabulous Foods, Crozet Great Valu, Greenwood Gourmet Grocery, Village Market,  Blue Mountain Brewery, Afton Mountain Vineyards and Basic Necessities in Nellysford. and many more locations! We are located about 15 miles West of Charlottesville Virginia at the foot-hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

What We Do

We have a passion for wholesome food.  We grow it and we make it, we bake it.  Everything here is made from scratch.  With a lot of work and care, food can be more healthy, more in tune with nature, better for our bodies.  It is about better taste and some things you can't measure.
